Summer, Summer, Summertime....

I can not believe the summer is coming to a close already.  We have spent the summer with Michael enjoying all that NYC has to offer.  I wanted to Share some of my favorite pictures of our "local" adventures.  You can get a glimpse of some "firsts" for Michael and see how much he has grown over the past few months.  I have never met anyone who did not love NYC in the summer.

We started off the summer taking Michael to Brooklyn's Prospect Park for the Great Googa Mooga- a food and music festival!  It was May and Michael had just started to enjoy walking.

Memorial Day Weekend we went down to Battery Park and Michael saw the Statue of Liberty!

We bough Michael an inflatable swimming pool so he could cool down on hot days.

Michael loved the pool but we realized he may need a bigger one to entertain friends.  Bring on summer pool 2.0!

(Mommy really just wanted a pool she could fit in too.)

Here is one of Michael sleeping in his stroller on our rooftop while Scott and I eat breakfast. Nice Empire State Building backdrop.

Michael went to his first "friend" birthday party.  Maxine's 1st birthday in Central Park.

And then he went to Florida for his own 1st birthday!

Many, MANY trips to Madison Square Park- for playground, grassy area and sprinklers.
                                            squirrel!  Behind you!

                                                                       First popsicle

On the Fourth of July the Bartons came over to celebrate.  Michael loved hosting everyone.

Up to the roof for Michael's first fireworks watching!  He was asleep last 4th of July.

Michael watching his pigeon friends
 Back at the Park

Helping mommy pick out shoes.  This is one of Michael's first encounters with a full length mirror.
A trip to the Natural History Museum and Central Park playground with mommy

Fun, Sun and a little nap on mommy          Then, first milkshake!
Family time down on Pearl street- Playground and Food Truck Festival "Parked"

 (I don't know why he's not smiling.  That's a DOUGHNUT!)
He got this box and he likes it more than most anything we have done all summer, lol.

Next he decided to take on the world of stairs...

And we went on the Carousel
Michael is learning to grocery shop.
We went for a stroll down Park Avenue for summer streets.
And Michael even relaxes once in a while
Uncle Kenny and Ashley came to visit which was really nice!
Michael also went on his first bike ride!  It was very exciting!!

Now he is getting ready for the Fall-

These are some links to our favorite Michael videos from this summer-

We have had a wonderful summer with you buddy!  It went by too fast.   Can't wait 'til the next one...
